About the Chapter:
The UC Irvine chapter was established in 2021 by Amirah Salem as part of Friends of Dialysis’ continued expansion across California universities. The chapter brought together students committed to supporting dialysis patients through service, education, and advocacy.

During its active period, members organized outreach efforts aimed at raising awareness about kidney disease and improving patient experiences. Through student-led initiatives and community engagement, the UCI chapter contributed to the organization’s mission of compassion, advocacy, and support for individuals undergoing dialysis.
