About the Chapter:
The Cal State Long Beach chapter was established in 2020 by Athela Fadul as the second university chapter of Friends of Dialysis. Building on the foundation of the organization’s first chapter, the CSULB chapter played an important role in expanding Friends of Dialysis’ presence across Southern California.

During its active years, the chapter supported dialysis patients through service, education, and advocacy, including care-package drives, awareness initiatives, and community outreach. The chapter’s efforts helped strengthen the organization’s early growth and demonstrated the potential for student-led impact across multiple campuses.

Fun Fact: The Cal State Long Beach chapter was Friends of Dialysis’ second official university chapter, helping pave the way for the organization’s continued expansion.
