About the Chapter:
The UC San Diego chapter was established in 2025 by Muhammad Fawad as a chapter of Friends of Dialysis’ continued expansion across California universities. The chapter brought together students committed to supporting dialysis patients through service, education, and advocacy throughout the San Diego area.

Since its formation, the chapter has focused on combining service, education, and advocacy through initiatives such as care-package drives, campus awareness events, and partnerships with local dialysis centers. Members work hands-on to support patients and their families while fostering empathy and understanding within the broader campus community.

Driven by Triton spirit and a shared commitment to service, the UCSD chapter continues to grow as a space where students can make a meaningful impact while advancing the mission of Friends of Dialysis at the local level.

The UC San Diego chapter brings together students from diverse academic backgrounds who are united by a common goal—uplifting and advocating for individuals living with kidney disease.
